FAQ

First time in Europe/Germany? Here a few things you should know:

  • People talk Germany, but must should also be able to talk English, so you should be find language-wise
  • Shops aren't open on Sundays.
  • Power plugs use the "Schuko" Plug: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schuko
    • Check power supplies for input voltage rating. Many switching power supplies can accept 240V/50 Hz, which only need a physical plug conversion, and not voltage conversion.
    • Don't bring power-hungry appliances (hair dryers, etc.) to camp. There's limited power available and they require voltage conversion.
