Painting/Signage

Plan for 25 m^2 of painted surface

  • Info booth
    • 2m x 2m booth
  • Jungle Dome sign
    • "Welcome to the Jungle Dome"?
    • 2m x 1m
  • Kitchen sign (chalkboard or whiteboard)
    • 2m x 1m

Supplies

  • primer (latex-bindemittel or haftgrund?)
  • interior semi-gloss latex paint (latexfarbe, house paint for rooms)
    • Background color (5L)
    • colors for the text (smaller or “sample” cans are acceptible)
  • Kitchen sign paint (whiteboard or chalkboard)
  • paint rollers: 1 roller-handle & 4 replacement rollers (if there are 2 people painting, then snag 2 rollers)
  • 6 pack of paint tray liners (can be used without a paint-tray for one-time use)
  • 12 pack of paint mixing sticks (more is also good)
  • 1 paint can key (to open)
  • drop cloth (or cardboard boxes) to paint boards on
  • Brush cleaning and paint mixing containers – Clean jars or yogurt containers
  • Foam brushes - snag a variety of sizes (cheap extras are useful). Usually you can grab a variety pack. Get a couple extra 20-30mm size.
  • Paint brushes - variety of sizes from a home improvement store. Avoid "chip brushes", go for something a bit nicer. Look for packs of various size of brushes for latex paint. Largest size: 75mm but also looking for 50mm and 25mm
  • Towels or paper towels for cleanup
  • pencils to draw out designs
  • foam kneeling pad (ie. gardening pad)
