We aim at attracting high quality or very entertaining cyber security content presented by speakers who know how to engage with the audience. The circus is not supposed to be the only cyber security stage on the camp since there might be good submissions/speakers that would fit better on a traditional stage.

We would like to be part of the core WHY2025 schedule and CFP and let speakers decide whether they would like to present in the circus or whether they would prefer a traditional stage. Besides that, we would like to actively contact potential speakers and ask them to submit something to the stage. Submissions for the circus should be reviewed by Milliways, while other submissions stay with the MCH2025 core team. Acceptance can be based on the quality of the content and based on the ability of the speaker to engage with the audience and to make proper use of the special stage. Both teams may recommend to shift a submission from one stage/team to the other stage. A shared Pretix instance would be very beneficial for that.

The difference in having our own dedicated dishwashing station (at at least, access to freshwater and waste through rotating [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intermediate_bulk_container IBCs] or similar) at CCCamp23 vs using public facilities at EMF was apparant and frustrating to all. We hold up the dishwashing queue for individuals, families and smaller villages which is not a great experience and we can't efficiently or correctly clean our equipment because of lack of space, warm water etc. It would be great if we could have our own dedicated space at WHY 2025.

Instead of relying on volunteer kitchen managers, our idea is to have a professional Chef/Cook/Kitchen Manager paid by Milliways to head up the Kitchen. We then need to look for a Milliways Kitchen Manager accustomed to organizing volunteers and other hackercamp event stuff to liasie between our kitchen, our archangels and event.

This was tried in a halfass way long ago at a congress, but nobody opted to pay this way. Software has changed in the decade since then.

* Bitcoin and Ethereum both have L2 networks (Lightning and zkSync) that lower transaction fees and settle in <10min. At congress in ~2018 or so, a vendor was selling coffee via bitcoin lightning to prove the value of L2. Normally fees would be high compared to the price of a coffee, and the chain would take much longer to commit than it takes to make the coffee, but L2 solves this.

sadly many among community have been in the predicament when they needed legal advice and some did indeed ended up in the mass system of control some call prison system. "mail to jail" is a solidarity and support network that ran for years by various fractions of "teh intervewbz".

at camp we will crate original art postcards/stickers with support of creative team, print and ship all out by the end of camp. any ideas are welcome re what else could be done, just note there are restrictions to mail that varies from prison to prison.

sadly many among community have been in the predicament when they needed legal advice and some did indeed ended up in the mass system of control some call prison system. "mail to jail" is a solidarity and support network that ran for years by various fractions of "teh intervewbz".

at camp we will crate original art postcards/stickers with support of creative team, print and ship all out by the end of camp. any ideas are welcome re what else could be done, just note there are restrictions to mail that varies from prison to prison.
- it would also be nice if perhaps some books would be sent-out that are on bookmail list, for example for Jeremy Hammond
- adding QR codes to design for individual support networks? (perhaps for stickers as "gov" may be upset re codes on postcards).

this is the queue for vouchers for the Chaos Communication Camp 2023

== the ticket situation for camp 2023 ==

There will likely again not be a public sale, everything will go over (respwaning) vouchers.
This means we need to plan properly, everyone who wants to come should be on the voucher list.

This means there will be a massive shortage of tickets and we won't
get the amount of tickets that we usually are able to retrieve through
the old voucher system. This voucher system will be only used on the
camp as far as I know and that is due to the shortage of tickets which
will be at the same number as last time in 2019.

So to speak out the ugly truth we will have to prioritize some people
over others - that just is the consequence out of the situation.

I will therefore prioritize people who commit to do something for
milliways on the camp and then people who have done something for
milliways in the past and then try to come up with something fair for
the rest of the vouchers. I do not feel well by this and are open to
other suggestions in how to proceed there but its the best solution we
have come up with so far.
